“Confessions of a President...I will turn 52 in 2026 and so much has changed over the last few years. I still wonder if a mystical power will come down from above and make things easier for me and for Valve Tech, but that unfortunately has not happened, not yet. To the contrary, we continue to push the boulders uphill every day, and those problematic boulders have reduced in size. From my perspective, this business has always been tough, and it continues to edge out our competition. That was why my father fell in love with this niche custom valve company years ago and why I have nurtured and grown it ever since. 

My parents both believed, You don’t need to be a genius or a visionary, or even a college graduate for that matter, to be successful. You just need the framework and a dream.

I did not have rich parents, assistance, handouts, and favors. It has been a lot of straight hustle; all day, every day on my vacations and days off to make and keep this business successful. It is not only been my job, but it is my priority because of my family of employees within VTI. I have a responsibility to these folks here who have helped my family create this powerful business. Words cannot express my love & passion for my business.

20-20 HINDSIGHT ABOUT OUR DECISION TO GO INTO AEROSPACE: Would I do it all over again?

ValveTech, Inc. was a business that made a commitment to develop a major presence in the aerospace industry. The good news is that, in my opinion, through all the years of hard work and perseverance, it has finally paid off, as I believe ValveTech, Inc has now developed a serious presence in the aerospace industry. We have developed a very successful name for ourselves and relationships within the aerospace/military community.

I would absolutely do this all over again; to work side by side with my father, with these folks inside VTI, and with the folks I’ve met along the way.

I am a female owner/operator and President of a Custom Aerospace Company, and I continue to push the boulders uphill, and things have not become any easier...at least not yet. Who knows, maybe they will in the future, but I am not counting on them to. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have been with me past and present, getting us going and keeping us where we need to be! Business associates and employees alike, we are all family at ValveTech!

 I have served as Purchasing Manager at ValveTech, Inc since February 1996. My primary goal is to ensure that we receive the highest quality components on time and at a fair price. 

During the Shipping/Receiving process, I ensure products arrive at our Suppliers facility on time without damage. I work directly with the Quality Manager to determine and review customer flow down requirements, quality clauses and any restrictions. I continue to work with our Customers to ensure that they are satisfied by following and meeting the requirements of the AS9100 standard. 

In 2015, I began learning the challenges of this business, and with dedication and determination. I began to challenge myself with taking over the Contracts Management Roll.  Fast forward to 2023 I have found myself, as many of us do here at ValveTech, enjoying continuous learning and helping in all departments.  This has helped me obtain my Executive Director position newly created to facilitate a more effective management style as the family owner presence in ValveTech is lessening.  The ValveTech team must continue to have a strong management team and style to remain competitive and consistent with the core family values that are historically present.

I continue to pull from my past experiences, degree in business, background in legal affairs, history of the owners and entrepreneurship, which all have provided me with a piece of the puzzle that led to becoming an important member of this team.  Working side by side with this entire team, keeping the gears moving, is what makes me very proud to be part of the VTI family.

I started with Valve Tech in 1998 as a Designer and moved into the Design Manager roll, a roll that I am again serving. It is my responsibility to ensure departmental success for every design and drawing package generated and maintained by ValveTech’s talented and enthusiastic design team.  We strive to provide each customer with a design package that meets or exceeds their needs within the designated cost and timeframe. 

I also work closely alongside our sales team. My responsibility in the Sales Department is to assist with developing new opportunities / provide customer support with developing a concept and cost proposal for a product that will best suit their requirements. 

Valves have been around for many years but the innovative ideas that our customers’ flow down keeps my job challenging and interesting every day. My goal is to support every department to help ensure that we continue Valve Tech’s reputation of providing quality components. 

 I joined ValveTech in December of 2020, first beginning in the Coil Wind Department. In my time at VTI, I have had the opportunity to learn several operations within the organization; Quality Inspector, Calibration Technician, and Junior Contracts Lead. These positions have help foster me into my current role as Manufacturing Manager. 

In this role it is my goal to help ValveTech reach its contractual obligations, maintain the standards our founder put in place and help VTI look to the future. 

 Joining ValveTech in 2026, I bring 20 years of experience across the fluid sealing family of engineered products. I began my career in Commercial Aerospace Solenoid Valve design, analysis and qualification testing. I then spent 8 years learning Application and Product Engineering in heavy industry Dynamic Sealing.  

I believe in practical, creative, and holistic problem solving. In this role it is my goal to build system and process level solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s toughest challenges. 

I very recently joined Valve Tech in July 2026. I bring to the team, 20+ years of deep technical experience that covers a vast variety of positions — from the shop floor to the boardroom. That unique perspective, paired with a knack for relationship-building, makes me an ideal bridge between technical teams and the customers we serve. And that is truly the part of the job I love, collaboration, exchanging ideas and working together to tackle all sorts of manufacturing challenges.

I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the Valve Tech team; I will do everything I can to help elevate this already highly reputable aerospace manufacturer and propel us into the future!

 As I join Valve Tech, I bring several years of quality assurance and quality control experience spanning the medical, commercial, and aerospace defense sectors. My background includes specialized technical training alongside extensive hands-on experience in component inspection and machinery operations. 

I am eager to collaborate with the team to ensure regulatory compliance, elevate product quality, and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

 I bring more than 30 years of experience in the machining industry, built on a career of skill, dedication, and a deep understanding of precision manufacturing.

I spent 13 years at Valve Tech, where I developed extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in the trade. Eventually, I took the next step in my career and opened my own machine shop — an experience that taught me what it means to run a business from the owner's seat, not just the shop floor.

In 2025, I returned to Valve Tech to once again manage the machine shop. That return brought my experience, leadership, and hands-on knowledge full circle, and I'm proud to be part of Valve Tech's continued growth and its commitment to quality.
