Description

ValveTech has developed and qualified a dual seat and single seat solenoid operated Teflon seated valves for use in bi-propellant Bang-Bang pressure regulation systems. The valve is compatible with both fuels and oxidizers. The valve is qualified to operate at pressures to 4,800 psig and is capable of pressures in excess of 6,000 psig. Internal leakage rates are better than 1 x 10-3 sccs helium per seat, across a pressure range of 200 to 4500 psig. The qualified cycle life is 50,000 dry cycles. Cycle capability extends to 500,000 dry cycles. The valve has flown on the GeoLite, Orbital Express and MiTEx satellites.
